7 Golden Globe Nominated Films Perfect for Date Night

Are you and your S.O. total film buffs? With the Golden Globes right around the corner (see it live on January 10th), now is the perfect time to plan a movie date night. Up for five Golden Globe nominations, "Carol" is the story of two women who fall in love in 1950s New York. Don't forget to pack the tissues for this one. 2. "The Revenant." Any fan of Leonardo DiCaprio will want to see this flick. While it's probably not the most romantic date night movie, it will definitely be one of the most talked about pictures this year. 3. "Steve Jobs." If you have a slight obsession with your iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch, iPod or iPad, you'll probably have to watch this movie. 4. "Joy." This clever and lighthearted film tells the story of Joy Mangano, inventor and empowered female entrepreneur. It's a totally inspiring piece to add to your queue. 5. "Trainwreck." This hilarious movie is ideal for any comedy-loving couple... (or for fan of Amy Schumer!). What could be better? 6. "Brooklyn." Starring Saoirse Ronan and Emory Cohen, this 1950s period piece tells a tale of love, immigration, and family ties. History lovers will need to check this flick out immediately. 7. "The Danish Girl." Inspired by the true story of transgender pioneer Lili Elbe, "The Danish Girl" tells the love story of Lili and her wife Gerda Wegene. This is another film that everyone will be talking about this during awards season.
