Every couple wants to find ways to save money on their wedding day, whether it's just a few bucks or a major chunk of cash. Also, one of the biggest savings perks is that you can spend a little more on things that really matter to you and your partner. So now that you've got a little extra cash in your pocket, where should you spend it? We've got a few ideas and these five items are totally worth splurging on. Go ahead and pull out all the stops while shopping for a dress, jumpsuit, suit, or a tux. Some people can't wrap their heads around spending so much on something you'll wear just once, but we can think of loads of reasons to spend lavishly. What you wear definitely contributes to the vibe of your "I dos," whether it's super laid-back or totally black tie. Plus, you want to look and feel your best on this important day, and a fancy outfit will almost definitely help you get there. Wedding gowns often become family heirlooms, too — maybe your future child will want to wear it. Still worried about budgeting for this splurge? Vow to save on accessories like shoes, ties, and jewelry. 2. Rentals. You know all those chairs and tables that your guests are going to sit at during your reception? Well, those aren't going to come out of thin air. Chairs, tables, linens, and other decor can really define the style of your reception. Just envision a grand ballroom with luxe gold linens on big round tables surrounded by Chiavari chairs. Now, imagine the same room with plain white table cloths and plastic folding chairs. If you want a picture-perfect reception, that furniture is totally worth the extra cost. via Lover.ly Photo by Sarah Bray on Every Last Detail via Lover.ly 3. Your bouquet. Finding ways to save on florals isn't hard. But, if you save on boutonnieres and bridesmaid bouquets, you should spend what you saved on your own blooms. Your arrangement will be in your hands as you walk down the aisle and in every picture — the most important moments of the day. As a bonus, you can have your bouquet professionally preserved afterward as a keepsake. 4. Wedding bands. The engagement ring tends to get all the attention, but don't forget about the bands you'll exchange during the ceremony. Even if the jewelry isn't as blinged-out as an engagement sparkler, it's still worth investing in. After all, you'll have these rings forever. Make sure to pick something you love and choose a sturdy material. You can make them even more special by getting a special engraving, too. 5. Items for the ceremony. Are you saying your vows on the sand? Go ahead and get that crystal vase. Or, are you including meaningful religious readings? Pick the prettiest Bible on the bookshelf. Because the ceremony is the most sentimental part of the day, the things you use during it tend to be the most heartfelt mementos. Invest in quality things so that you can hold onto them forever and maybe even make them into a family heirloom. via Lover.ly Photo by Deborah Zoe on Heart Love Always via Lover.ly Get more wedding tips: 9 Wedding Splurges That Are SO Worth the Money 13 Keepsake Items You'll Want to Hold Onto After Your Wedding Wedding 101: 11 Things You've Got to Have Handy on the Big Day
