Yesterday we showed you how the real couples of Instagram are working a little football love into their big day. But what if you don't love the sport as much as your partner does? Have a joint bachelor/bachelorette party. If you and your partner don't mind sharing your "last weekend of freedom," get the guys and girls together for weekend of fun and games. Surprise your partner with some customized jerseys, split into teams (girls vs. guys?), and then kick off a game of touch football. This little effort would make for some pretty epic pictures...just imagine the slideshow at your rehearsal dinner! If you can't get the whole gang together, get a special cornhole board made up for your fiance to bring along for his weekend away. Lawn games are NEVER a bad choice. football wedding ideas Photo Credits: Art+Life Photography 2. Give a your favorite football fan a little gift. Not ready to go all out with the football decor? Whether this bonus cake is for the bride or the groom, it's a fun way to surprise your partner with a little nod to what matters to them. Maybe you don't want to "tarnish" your gorgeous three-tiered cake with an NFL logo or a Seahawks caketopper, so instead, deck out a second cake in football details galore! Whether your partner is into college ball or is passionate about the pros, let him or her take care of the favors. This could be a really sweet and subtle way to work a little football into your big day, epecially if you guys went to the same college or grew up in the same town! 5. Walk out, cheerleader style. End the night on a high note by surprising your partner with an exit fit for any starting quarterback. Ask your guests to shake some pom-poms in your wedding colors as your and your new spouse leave the venue at the end of the night. football wedding ideas Photo Credit: Evin Photography 6. Put the games on during the welcome drinks or the sendoff brunch. If you're hosting welcome drinks during Thursday Night Football or are planning a brunch the Sunday after your wedding, try to pick a place that has TVs available for you to use. Ask the manager if you'd be able to put on one or two of the day's big games to entertain your partner. You don't need to blare the announcers, but allowing your partner to watch the games live is a real nice way to show how much you care. Browse more sport-friendly wedding inspiration on Lover.ly!
