Um, Did Derek Jeter Just Pop the Question?

Relationship rumors have been flying about former New York Yankees shortstop, Derek Jeter, and his supermodel girlfriend, Hannah Davis, since 2012. And now there's another one making its way around the wedding-sphere... According to the New York Daily News, Jeter has proposed!

We can't say we're totally surprised. After all, the gorgeous couple officially announced they were together last May, and following his retirement from Major League Baseball in 2014, Jeter told NBC that wanting to start a family and raise kids were a couple of his reasons. And while Davis denied engagement claims back in April, we've been hoping it was just a matter of time before her beau made good on his retirement promise. The New York Daily News source—a person close to Davis—said, “She already has the ring. The family is very happy because they really like him.” Well, we couldn't be happier either. And while we wait for official wedding details, we've got four predictions for the happy couple's "I dos": 1. They'll go big. While the pair may keep a low-profile, we're predicting they'll pull out all the stops for the big day (like only a prior Yankee's Captain and Sports Illustrated covergirl can). We're thinking it'll be a grand slam! 2. But they'll keep the celebration super secretive. No matter how big the celebration, we expect they'll follow in the footsteps of other notoriously private celebs, like Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, and keep the details totally under wraps. Sorry about it, paparazzi! 3. The guest list will be an all-star lineup. Between Jeter's athlete pals and Davis's model friends, we're counting on an A-list invite list. The duo has also been spotted around town with major music moguls, including Diddy and Timbaland, 4. The bride will wow in a figure-hugging white dress.
